CREATIVE LIFE

I've worked as a writer on a number of animated series, including the (hopefully) forthcoming “Scooby Doo & the Mystery Pups,” “LEGO City Adventures,” “Hello Ninja,” and "Shezow," as well as the DGA-award winning short "Collectibles." I've shown up recently as an actor in Robyn Paris’s mockumentary “The Room Actors: Where Are They Now?” and Adri Diaz's terrific "Terror Tales of L.A." series.

I started writing in second grade, when my parents divorced. I never stopped. My first acting role was in fifth grade, as Willy Lightfingers in the Chamberlin Drama Club's production of "Scaredy Cat." I learned then I could get laughs from committing to a bit.

I majored in creative writing at Middlebury College, where I enrolled in dance classes and was quickly cast in shows (owing to the dearth of male dancers and not to my inherent talent or facility as a dancer). I took summer acting classes at Colorado College.

Always writing, in my 20s I worked in Los Angeles, Santa Fe, and New York with such screen titans as Kate Winslet, Penelope Cruz, and Al Pacino-- as a P.A. I moved to Prague for adventure and traveled around Europe promoting the Prague International Marathon.

I studied acting again in San Francisco and played the Dead Italian Soldier in Erica Blue's acclaimed Divafest production "The Talking Machine."

I earned a writing MFA from UCLA, and I studied Improv, Sketch and Character at the UCB Training Center in Los Angeles, including Improv in the UCB Academy program.

Now you can catch me live in Seattle in the monthly Bandit Theater improv show, “Mad Science.” And you can also hear me interviewing guests for “The Awkward Show,” the Bandit podcast show I direct and produce.
